Everpark Garage Maintenance Project Updates

Everpark Garage Closure November 29-Dec 1 | November 6, 2o19

Friday, November 29 through Sunday, December 1, Everpark Garage will be inaccessible to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic to accommodate work on interior parking decks. All vehicles on the ground floor and decks 2 & 3 must be vacated. Vehicles on the roof will not be accessible during the closure. Due to the nature of the materials being used during the sealing work, customers will not be able to enter the garage for any reason. If you will need access to your vehicle over the weekend, please plan ahead and move your car out of the garage.

ROof open & Phase 2 prep | October 25, 2o19

Maintenance on the roof is complete and the entire deck is reopened for monthly parkers. The crew has finished restriping the stalls and all wheel stops have been installed. Parkers with a roof permit should return to parking in their designated area.

Phase 2 of the project has started on the covered decks (floors 2 and 3) with patching and staging.

ROof Progress | October 16, 2o19

The rooftop is reopened and monthly parkers have started moving back onto the roof as of this afternoon. The crew has started prep work for moving to the next section of the garage.

ROof Progress | October 7, 2o19

The rooftop has not reopened. Crews completed pouring and curing the membrane and striping has begun on the roof. However, rain will likely impact the reinstallation of wheel stops as the surface of the roof must be completely dry in order for the epoxy to adhere. The City has provided on street overflow parking for the duration of the roof closure to accommodate monthly parkers displaced by the maintenance project.

ROof Progress | October 2, 2o19

Fall came at us fast this year. In order to beat the rain and keep the maintenance project on track for a February completion, the contractor has opted to fully close the roof instead of working on one half at a time. The closure is putting a strain on garage parking, but the roof is expected to reopen by Monday, October 7. Construction updates are available on our website. We understand that the parking limitations are an inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to improve your experience at Everpark Garage.

The crew has poured the new membrane, which seals the concrete on the roof and prevents water intrusion. Take a look at their progress below.

Roof Closure | September 27, 2019

Roof parking will be temporarily closed to all traffic due to garage repairs. North and south stairwells to the roof will also be closed during this event due to repairs and safety precautions. The roof is expected to reopen on October 7.

Notice to proceed | September 12, 2019

The City of Everett has given the contractor permission to proceed with the maintenance project on Monday, September 16, 2019.

Upcoming Maintenance | September 9, 2019

Please be advised that the City of Everett will soon commence a comprehensive maintenance project at the Everpark Garage. The project is expected to begin the week of September 16, 2019 and be completed by February 2020. Certain stages of the project are weather-dependent, however, so the timeline could shift.

Monthly parking will not be disrupted during maintenance. Some monthly customers may be temporarily relocated within the parking garage as the work progresses from deck to deck. Monthly customers will be notified in advance by the Downtown Everett Association about any changes. Short term day-use parking will be limited during the maintenance project. We recommend that all businesses make special efforts to notify customers of this potential parking limitation and advise them to plan ahead when possible. A map of other parking lots and garages in the area is available on the Parking Map page.

We will continue to provide updates on this page as the project progresses.
